LEADSUN was formerly an OEM company founded in 1993. In 2005 the current CEO Enson Meng joined the team. He transformed the company by vertically integrating research and development, processing, and sales. The company was renamed "LEADSUN", which expresses the core values of the company, which are to lead the way in solar powered lighting and create vibrant and clean energy with a goal to benefit human society. Since then, the company has ushered in a new period of development.

After a long period of arduous research and trials, 2008 saw the successful launch of the world's first all-in-one, fully "integrated solar street light", creatively utilizing Monocrystalline silicon solar panels, a LED light source, PIR, charging controller and a LiFePO4 cycle life over 2000 times at 100% DOD. These technological breakthroughs were integrated with simple, environmentally friendly, intelligent, easy to install and maintenance-free characteristics, attracting attention across the globe.
