Principle Of Operation
Infrared Frame: The commercial Infrared Touch Monitor is Surrounded By A Frame With Integrated Infrared Light-emitting Diodes (IR-LEDs) And Phototransistors (sensors).
IR Grid: The IR-LEDs Emit An Infrared Beam That Creates A Grid Of Invisible Light On The Surface Of The Screen.
Touch Detection: When A Finger Or Any Object Touches The Screen, The IR Beam Is Blocked. The Phototransistor Detects This Masking.
Position Mapping: The Sensor Calculates The Exact Position Of The Touch Based On Where The IR Beam Is Blocked. This Data Is Then Sent To The Device's Controller, Which Translates It Into The Appropriate Action On The Screen.
