D-type: Needle-like Crystal (ethanol), Melting Point 122-123 °C, Optical Rotation [α] D20 + 64.5 ° (c = 1.75, Chloroform).

DL-type: Crystal (ethanol), Melting Point 125-126 °C.

It Is Soluble In Chloroform, Benzene, Acetic Acid And Acetone, Slightly Soluble In Ether And Petroleum Ether. It Is Almost Insoluble In Water, Alkaline Solutions And Hydrochloric Acid.
