fdsfdsSpain coach Vicente del Bosque has indicated that he will deploy three forwards from the start in Sunday's Euro 2012 final against Italy.
The 61-year-old has shown variety in his selections during the tournament, utilising Cesc Fabregas as a 'False 9' on several occasions and also opting for Alvaro Negredo and Fernando Torres as more traditional centre forwards.
The Barcelona midfielder made the starting XI for the group match against Italy, but Del Bosque has now given a strong indication that the 25-year-old may start the final on the bench.
'We have already decided our starting team for tomorrow [Sunday],' Del Bosque told Deportes Cuatro. 'We will go out with three forwards.'
Sunday marks Spain's third international final in just four years, but Del Bosque insists that the possibility of becoming the first team to win three consecutive tournaments is not an added source of pressure for his men.
'It is pointless to tell these guys how important this match is, when they are always playing important matches,' he added.
'The truth is they are representing an entire country and there is a big demand.
'We must be respectful. Italy are an extraordinary opponent, four times World Champions. Still, the Spanish people must know we will give 100 per cent.'
And, when quizzed on the differences between Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Italy's Gianluigi Buffon, Del Bosque said: 'Casillas is better, but Buffon's record is amazing.'
