Slurry pumps are specialist pumps specifically designed for pumping abrasive fluids. They are designed to pump abrasive fluids continuously, and the wearing parts can simply be replaced when worn without having to replace the whole pump. At the back of the pump is the belt guard which protects operators from the pulleys and belts. A perforated, lightweight belt guard is easily removed when required, which makes for quicker and safer maintenance of the pump. The shaft is powered by the motor and causes the impeller to rotate rapidly.
