The Incoloy A-286 wire is made of a Fe – Ni – Cr alloy that also includes molybdenum and titanium. It is age hardenable to achieve excellent mechanical properties. It has high strength and resistance to oxidation at the elevated temperature ranges up to 1300oF or 700oC. It is an austenitic alloy in the metallurgical conditions. It has high mechanical strength and creeping strength up to 1300oF.
